Physically impaired spectators

(2019.02.20) Due to a temporary malfunction of the mobile stairway platform, spectators on wheelchairs cannot be transported to the auditorium. We are very sorry for rhe inconvenience.

Teatr Syrena is equipped with ramps and mobile platforms enabling to move around the foyer and auditorium on a wheelchair. The equipment installed is:
- Vertical lift (LD-500 type), maximum load 200 kg;
- Stairway platform (HIRO 320 type), maxium load 225 kg.

The places for the disabled are on both sides of the auditorium. On LEVEL -1 there is a fully equipped and spacious toilet for the disabled spectators.

Entrance to the theatre	There is one step leading to the entrance door of Teatr Syrena. On the right there is a ramp measuring: Length 120 cm Width in its narrowest place 100 cm Height 19 cm Inclination angle 9° Door leaf width 85 cm

On the left there is a ramp leading to a LD-500 vertical lift with the lifting capa city of 200 kg, which enables to transport a wheelchair to the highest platform of level 0. Ramp measurements: Length 520 cm Width in its narrowest place 118 cm Height 52 cm Inclination angle 6° Measurements of the vertical lift 80 cm x 100 cm 9 steps lead to level 1, where there is the HIRO 320 stairway platform with a lifting capacity of 225 kg, which enables transportation of the wheelchair to level 1. Auditorium	On both sides of the auditorium there are sloping passages enabling moving on a wheelchair. The first and the last seat in each row may be used by physically impaired spectators, who want to watch the show seating on a theatre chair. The wheelchair is placed next to the seat then. Spectators watching the show from a wheelchair may take a place on both sides of the auditorium. The ramp has two inclination angles and is steeper close to the stage. Hearing or seeing impaired spectators

The whole repertoire offer of Teatr Syrena is adjusted to the needs of the hearing or seeing impaired spectators. In our repertoire section, next to each title, you can find icons informing about the kind of facility available.

The hearing impaired spectators can take advantage of induction loops – available before the show (ask the ushers).
