Famous West End and Broadway hit. A musical about Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Catherine Howard, and Catherine Parr – the six wives of Henry VIII, king of England. They are presented as pop music divas, and the entire show is a music concert. The wives of the English ruler sing out their stories and “compete” for the title of the one who was most deeply affected by her marriage to Henry. It’s a prime example of how “history” is transformed into “herstory”, which means giving back voice to women whose perspective has long gone unnoticed.
