A show based on the novel by Grzegorz Uzdański, nominated for the Polityka Passport award and written mostly in Polish thirteen-syllable verse. Its protagonist is Adam Mickiewicz himself – not as the national poet from the monuments, but as a vampire living in contemporary Warsaw! In the trendy neighborhood around Plac Zbawiciela, Mickiewicz’s roommates are Marta and Łukasz, a couple going through a crisis. By day, the vampire-poet hides in a wardrobe from the deadly sunlight; by night, he sneaks blood from a hospital dumpster. Can the leading figure of Polish Romanticism still summon his powers to save the love life of a young couple living in the city?
