Your kids want to transform into a character from a film or fairytale? They dream about temporary changing their looks? Are they interested in the work of makeup artists on the sets of movies and in theatres? We invite them to get to know the ins and outs of the work of makeup artists. They specialize in creating wigs, fake moustache, wrinkles and fake wounds. The workshop takes place in the Syrena Theatre, and we use professional make-up cosmetics.

Program:

  • Day I
    1. How the work of makeup artists looks like, the products they use, and the insides of a make-up trunk
    2. The difference between stage makeup and everyday makeup
    3. Measuring and putting on wigs and facial hair
    4. Special effects – abrasions, bruises, scars, wounds, burns, a cut finger etc.

Homework: to plan your own makeup project, inspired by a character from a fairytale, film or theatre play

  • Day II
    1. Presentation of homework makeup projects
    2. Painting a face chart
    3. Selecting costumes
    4. Creating a character
    5. Photo mini-session
    6. Presentation of make-up photos, discussion on how make-up can change the appearance of a character

Depending on the age and interests of the participants, the program may change.
