We finished the 2023/24 season in the Syrena Theatre with performances of the musical “SIX” in July. The season was intense, rich and record-breaking. Here is a short summary.

What was this season like? Very good, since we had an even richer offer both cultural and educational, and with an even bigger audience!

Events of the season

premiere of the musical “SIX” directed by Ewelina Adamska-Porczyk (September 2023)
premiere of the play “Wypiór” directed by Jacek Jabrzyk (February 2024)
expanding our educational offer with voiceover workshops for adults, “Shrek JR” workshops for children and teenagers, and throughout the year – dancing workshops titled “Lyrical dance”
expanding our offer of music concerts, thanks to the collaboration with the Śródmieście district. We played 15 concerts, among them both recitals performed in our Bistro Syrena (this cycle consisted of performances by Weronika Bochat-Piotrowska, Aleksandra Gotowicka, Przemysław Glapiński, Marcin Franc, Małgorzata Chruściel and Maciej M. Tomaszewski), as well as full-cast concerts on the big stage, including “Ten cały Sondheim” directed by Joanna Drozda
as part of the Warsaw Centre for Musicals, we recorded 17 new episodes of the podcast “Nawet lubię musicale”, which is hosted by Jacek Mikołajczyk, and we also showed our audience the micro-musical “Dziewczyny, jazzu!” directed by Iza Natasza Czapska

Season in numbers

306 – the number of shows and concerts performed, so 50 more than last season!
85 600 – the number of viewers who watched our shows and concerts, so as many as 15.6 thousand more than last season!
1400 – the number of participants who took part in 18 workshops and all-year classes for children, teenagers, adults and seniors
70 – the number of times we played “SIX”, a record-breaker in our repertoire. And that’s not all – we played all of the shows in 100% audience capacity. The queens rule in Syrena!

We want to thank all of our Viewers, Employees and Collaborators for the 2023/24 season in the Syrena Theatre. Creating theatre for you and with you is a great honour and great pleasure!
See you in Syrena in the 2024/25 season!
