We’re pleased to announce that Syrena now runs on green power! We installed photovoltaic panels on the roof as the first theatre in Warsaw, as well as one of the first cultural institutions in our city (the first was Stołeczna Estrada).
We installed a system consisting of 67 photovoltaic panels with a total capacity of over 27 kWp. We expect it to serve us for the next 20-25 years. We estimate that the installation will meet about 10-15% of our annual energy needs.
The investment cost around 130,000 PLN, and it was made possible thanks to funding from the City of Warsaw.

The photovoltaic installation is yet another of our pro-environmental initiatives. We use less energy, and use recycled materials in the production of our shows and when organizing workshops. The Bistro Syrena, operating in the theatre, orders products from local suppliers, etc. It’s all because we feel responsible for the place where we live and create.
